Dr. Shane pursued a residency at the Dental College of Georgia to expand his clinical skillsets to include, Implant placement, fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental surgeries, rotary endodontics, and certification in IV sedation. He received clinical and didactic training in treatment planning complex cases, treating medically complex patients, and had clinical rotations in emergency medicine, pedodontics and anesthesiology. It was his own personal adverse dental experiences as a child that led to Dr. Shane’s interest in providing sedation to patients with dental anxiety.
Dr. Alyssa Turgeon, also known as "Dr. Aly", grew up in Louisiana and later moved to North Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school she attended Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Biology. She became interested in molecular research and with her love for science volunteered her time in a lab researching Periodontal Disease.
Dr. Tanner completed is AEGD residency at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served in the Air Force for 4 years as Captain and led the In-Place Patient Decontamination (IPPD) team, was Officer in Charge of Biopsy and Medical Consults, as well as OIC for the Tissue & Implant program and the Sedation program. During his training he received advanced training in moderate conscious sedation, experience with extraction of 3rd molars, and endodontic procedures.
